I’m not usually a fan of the Men Tell All episode. We end on a cliffhanger from the fantasy suites episode, and then we’re forced to rehash drama from five weeks ago that I no longer care about; however, this Men Tell All episode was one of the most enjoyable that I’ve ever watched. Here are my top moments from this past episode:
Jesse Wearing Brayden’s Earrings
Jesse Palmer never takes himself too seriously, and he did a great job on the Men Tell All Episode. During an interview with Brayden, a man who dominated both the season and this episode, Brayden gifts Jesse with his own pair of dangly earrings. Jesse then proceeded to wear the earrings for the duration of the entire segment. Jesse poking fun at Brayden has been a standing joke throughout the season, so it was funny for his hot seat interview to end in this lighthearted way.
The Return of Captain Tom
During the season, Charity goes on a two-on-one date with Tanner and Sean, and in a genius move, the show invited Captain Tom from the date to the taping. Despite Captain Tom calling Charity, Chasity, the show again does a callback to another standout, humorous moment from the season. Even though Captain Tom gave Sean his final rose, I don’t think this is the last we’ll see of Tanner.
Gerry’s Story
The Golden Bachelor will finally arrive on our screens this fall, and Gerry joined Jesse Palmer on stage to tell his story and detail his excitement for the historic first season of The Golden Bachelor. While we already knew Gerry’s story, it was heartbreaking to see him relive it; however, when he walks out to begin his interview, the entire audience, including all of the men from this season, gives him a standing ovation. The segment then contained the levity of him reading thirst trap tweets (if we can still call them that), discussing Fantasy Suites, and asking the men from this season for advice. I was already excited for Gerry’s season, but now I am pumped for his second shot at love.
Bachelorette Unity
One of the best segments was the appearance of Trista, Desiree, and Deanna, former bachelorettes. First, these women are all beautiful, strong, and captivating. I loved the pep talk they gave Charity and how they affirmed her choices. You can tell that this moment meant a lot to both Charity and the former bachelorettes. These women are a testament to how special the opportunity to be the Bachelorette can be, and for them to come together to support Charity and her choices, it was just beautiful to see.
Charity and Xavier’s Conversation
Throughout the season, Charity and Xavier had so much potential, so when their relationship crashed and burned during the fantasy suite episode when Xavier failed to promise he could remain faithful to Charity, it was absolutely devastating. The Men Tell All episode afforded the pair the first opportunity to speak about their disastrous ending. Charity is a master communicator, and I loved watching her clearly articulate her feelings and boundaries to Xavier. Xavier, however, is not great at vocalizing his emotions, and while he sounded remorseful and regretful of his actions and comments, it’s clear that he’s not ready for the level of commitment and connection that Charity deserves. I’m glad that this moment allowed for closure to happen so they both can move forward, and I hope Xavier genuinely grows from this experience.
Overall, this was great episode and conclusion (or perhaps new beginning) for the men of Charity’s season. I still cannot believe we only have one more episode left of Charity’s season. She has truly been the best bachelorette, and I am so ready to see her get her happily ever after. If the preview is any indication, I’m going to have my box of tissues ready.
See you for the conclusion of Charity’s season next week!
Charity really is the best!! Looking forward to the finale and praying my TV works
